Served in First World War as a Private in 1st Cavalry Brigade 19th Hussars having enlisted on 14.05.1910. Discharged due to Gun Shot Wound 17.02.1916. Paralyzed in one arm due to gunshot wound. Married Ellen Elizabeth Beckett on 11th December 1916 at a Registers Office in District of Kingston. At time of marriage residence was Lower Road Sutton Valance, Maidstone. Occupation at time of marriage was General Labourer. His father was listed as Stephen Frederick Martin (a Farm Labourer). Witnesses were Annie L Beckett and W Shaw.. Died of TB in 1942. |
